Allister Williams’ deep sense of patriotism

Allister Williams’ name has become synonymous with the Carnival and Music Festival landscape of St Kitts and Nevis, leaving an enduring mark on its growth and development. His extensive track record in leadership roles is highlighted by a unique distinction – he is the only person to have concurrently served as Chairman and CEO of the National Carnival Committee. Since his initiation into the National Carnival Talented Teen Sub Committee in 1986, he has consistently been the voice and face of Carnival.

Allister’s foundation in Events Management and his valuable experience were cultivated during his time with the Hotel & Tourism Association (HTA), where he played a pivotal role in organising significant events such as the Caribbean Tourism Pageant and the Regional Small Hotel Retreat at the Four Seasons in Nevis. Over time, his engagement in major activities has continued to expand. His achievements include:

Organiser of the King and Queen of the Festivals
Management team of the historic CARIFESTA event in 2000
Chairman of the Opening and Closing Sub Committee for the 2007 CARIFTA Games in St Kitts
Adjudicator for both Calypso and Queen Shows locally and regionally
Founding Member of the Rotaract Prince and Princess Show
Served as Volunteer on World Cup 20/20, the Rotaract Club and the St Kitts Jaycees
Executive Director of the St Kitts Music Festival

Allister’s exceptional organisational skills and competence, combined with his warm, approachable, and magnetic personality, along with his grounded charisma, have fostered a culture of volunteerism, attracting a new generation of Carnival visionaries to the Carnival Committee family. Volunteers consistently attest that they dedicate their time and expertise because of Allister, finding immense joy and fulfillment in working alongside him.
