Lightning Storm hails from Dutch Quarter in St. Maarten and is popularly referred to as the original Don’t Quit General (D.Q.G.). He transitioned from a promising basketball career to music, branding himself as Archangel Lightning Storm. As a result, he gained a following with his daring lyrics and positive messages. His big break came when he shared stages with artists like Buju Banton and Tarrus Riley, building a strong fan base in St. Maarten before migrating.

Expanding his creative horizons, Lightning Storm co-wrote two children’s books in the Caribbean Vybes Children’s Series,  and donated books to primary schools to promote youth literacy. He has released impactful singles “Stronger”, “Hypocrite Dem All Fall Dung” and now in 2024, “Worse Dan Judas”. Lightning Storm is known for his deep emotional narrative, thought-provoking lyrics, infectious beats, and his compelling delivery which resonates deeply with listeners.
